Red Lotus Spiritual

About inspiration, seeking and silence by Rumi. . .

"The inspiration you seek is already within you.  Be silent and listen."__Rumi

For it is true that we all have an inner wealth of wisdom and knowledge that is available to us ongoing.

Rumi here is giving us a very direct and clear message that this is indeed true and that it also always available.

And being true, that each one of us needs to take the time, energy and focus to tap this living source of spiritual realization that waits for us within.

Also he says here that it takes silence to have the space and ground to actually tap into this source.

For it is in silence that we can find this deep connection and link to our own inner spirit.

Meditation is a wonderful way to begin this connection. (For a meditation basics report: click here )

Our own inner spirit that dwells in the heart, with its gifts of joy and spiritual awakening, that is waiting for us now, in the silence within.

Our greatest strength is in the the heart by Rumi

"Our greatest strength lies in the gentleness and tenderness of our heart."__Rumi

The heart is really what leads all of us ongoing, each day and every day.

It is the light and the lamp that illuminates our journey for our  relationships, activities, interests and also love.

The heart can also lead us to discover more of our inner spiritual qualities of gentleness, tenderness and also compassion.

Qualities that take an inner strength to express and share and that are so very much needed in our world today.

Needed so that we can all live life to the fullest, in both a connected and positive way. Needed so that we can each reach out and share ourselves with others.

To live life to the fullest, sharing the joy and harmony of the heart, connecting to the deeper soul and spirit that dwell within.

The miracle of a single flower by the Buddha

"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."__The Buddha

What is the Buddha telling us here?

What is so important about seeing our world in a different type of way?

The importance has to do with viewing our surroundings with a new vision and the open mind of clarity.

To be open and clear in mind so that we can see what is actually around us and not just the conditioned viewpoint that most of us operate from daily.

This is traditionally called spiritual awakening.  The awakening to the reality of our world on all levels, beyond all concepts, definitions and past conditioning.

One of the methods to attain this clarity is the ongoing practice of meditation.

Eckhart Tolle on what really matters

"All the things that really matter--beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace--arise from beyond the mind."__Eckhart Tolle

Why beyond the mind?  Many might ask this question since most of us are raised to believe that the mind is supreme.

That it is always supreme and has all the answers for us for about everything everywhere, ongoing and completely.

And yet there is more. And it is this "more" that Eckhart is referring to.

The more is an expanded and holistic way of viewing and living our lives daily.  Beyond the mind includes some other qualities of being that are found outside of the intellect.

These are positive and desirable qualities such as:  the heart, spirituality, creativity, compassion and also love.

One way to access these qualities is through a meditation practice.

Rain grows flowers by Rumi

"Raise your words, not voice.  It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder."__Rumi

Here we are reminded about the subtle strength of the spiritual.

Rain is indeed powerful, but has a soft and subtle type of way overall.

Gentle as it can be, how wonderful are its results and how needed is its input and presence for life on our planet ongoing.

Same as with our words as well.  Loud speech can of course have an immediate impact.  It can make us sit up, pay attention and also take notice immediately!

Yet often it is the more subdued sound of a quieter voice that makes us listen a bit closer and to take the message spoken in a much deeper way.

A deeper way that can touch us on the inner level and can engage with us, heart, spirit and soul . . .

Right livelihood, harmony & well being

*The Card of the Day*: The Eight Of Coins

This card shows an artisan who is at work as a craftsman, carving a pentangle (five pointed star) on a yellow disk.

He is wearing a blue (emotions) tunic and red (passion & energy) leggings and shoes.  His attention is focused and the atmosphere is one of diligence, productivity and also an overall sense of harmony and well being.

For most of us, being on the earth plane, means that we have to decide what our offering will be to the world to earn a living.

Hopefully we have been able to look within to find just what exactly our greatest talents and gifts are, then pursue those for this purpose.

For what is money anyway? It is simply energy.

So if you offer what is meaningful and also a passion for you, that is where your greatest energy and way of contributing to the world at its best, will be as well.

About truth, wisdom and the loving heart

"A loving heart is the truest wisdom."__Charles Dickens

Love being something all of us value, would like to attract more of and also that we each each have in our lives in many different forms.
There is, of course, romantic love, that spark of two people that makes our days more magical and bright with its essence of sharing hearts, emotions and connecting deeply.

Also there is the love of friendship, so valuable in that it gives us the support and opportunity to grow and expand our worlds ongoing with others.

Then there is spiritual love. Spiritual love is the realm of the mystic, and is when we can open ourselves to the experience of oneness with all of creation and to the divinity that dwells within each one of us deeply within.

So why is a loving heart called wise?

It is called wise because it knows that love creates the tone of positive exchange, an exchange that encourages and also renews our world wherever it is placed.

And really, who does not want love?

For love can truly make things new and can uplift others, at any time, with its powerful energy for harmony, joy, happiness and deeper connections.

About following your instincts from Oprah

"Follow your instincts. That's where true wisdom manifests itself."____Oprah Winfrey

Life is always about choices.  The choices each of us make on a daily basis to make our lives more fullfilled and uplifted.

There is so much information out there these days, with media and the internet, for many of us making choices can tend to be a bit overwhelming at times!

So how can we find a clear path, one that honors our own unique vision, goals and objectives?

Well, like Oprah says here, for some answers we can each remember to take the time to tap into our own instincts and look within.

We all have resources and wisdom inside, but with all the activity and information pulling on us from the outer world constantly, need to remind ourselves of this.

Also our intuition is another part of our instincts that we all have to light our way as well.

And intuition, like any skill, increases as we use and develop its information daily and ongoing.

So what about you and your life?

Have you taken a moment to tap into your instincts today?

The dance of the mind and our intuition . . .

"Intuition will tell the thinking mind where to look next."~~Jonas Salk

Jonas Salk was a famous scientist and here he states the importance of intuition in both his life and work.

For of course the thinking mind is required and valuable, but it does have its limits.

These limits being the fact that it tends to run the same information for us over and over again.

Intuition, on the other hand, opens the doors within for some new information. It lets in a breath of fresh air if we are now seeking some ways to open up and make some positive shifts for change.

New information that can broaden our approach and make our journey one of more adventure, more possibilities and increased creativity ongoing.

Intuition can inspire us to spread our wings and to connect with a renewed sense of passion and purpose.

Sometimes it is just what we need to renew our dreams, express our essence, so we can start some new pathways for change and growth on both the inner and outer levels.

Cup of Gold Oneness, Love & Compassion

Card of the Day*Page of Cups

Image here is of a youth with a blue hat with flowing scarf, while also wearing a blue tunic with pink flowers.

The light blue of his hat is a soft energy (emotions & water) as is his light blue tunic with the pink flowers (the heart energies being expressed here).

He holds & extends a golden cup (goblet) that contains a fish. Again, we have the emotions extended and the fish symbol. (The fish being a well known icon associated with the Christian faith and Jesus).

Also behind him, we see a flowing stream. (Water, again, is the emotions and here we see they are allowed and flowing freely.

So overall this is a very soothing card and one with the idealism of unity, harmony, joy and oneness.

Oneness joined with sincerity, the flow of emotions, compassion, and the universal type of love that are all extended.
